Freelancing full time is liberating and terrifying. Everything falls back onto your shoulders. The good and the bad. The triumphs and the set backs. So as I am making up my own rules as I go, I am allowing myself to experiment, to explore new creative outlets, and to fail myself towards success.
As I grow as a photographer, I am trying to expand my horizons. So after being inspired by the perfect golden hour that pours into my living room every afternoon and my new flash that needed to be broken in, I decided to spend the afternoon shooting self portraits.
Walking around to the other side of the camera was really valuable in understanding how the lenses can become a black hole of intimidation. So I pumped up some jams and decided to pull out my fiercest blue steel.
