Nashville's winters are a joke. A light dusting and schools are closed. A little bit of flurries and the roads are chaos. (I know we aren't prepared for it.) So I vented to Instagram by posting a photo of Washington State snow, "Since Nashville thinks a snow day means gray mush and empty shelves at Kroger, I needed a reminder of what more than one inch snow looks like."
Nashville heard me.
And. Proved. Me. Wrong.
I got to explore in an actual winter wonderland at Shelby Park in the most snow I have ever seen in the south. Untouched fields of snow. Hidden pathways. and even deer dancing bouncing through all the white. All of the ice and treachery were worth being able to see such scenes of peace and joy. Nashville you finally know how to snow.
