Despite the fact we were not prepared for the mountains of snow and ice covered everything, Stockholm was a wintery dream.
Fun fact, Stockholm is part of archipelago full of islands and waterways. Who knew!? Probably those who are better educated. But hey! Traveling is a crash course in another country's history, culture, and most importantly food. And meatballs are significantly better in actual Sweden than Ikea.
My favorite part of the city was that every metro stop had art and design at the forefront, whether creating a red cave entrance or beautiful murals along the walls, you can tell the importance of vibrant art in a country with such dark and harsh winters.
